A quorum was declared and the meeting was called to order at 6:32. Motion made by A. Brewer to approve minutes from both June and July 2018 Planning Commission minutes. Motion seconded by J. Mills. Motion carried.

Old Business

  1. Chairman King continues to work on reviewing Zoning Codes.
  2. No action taken on revision of code establishing number of members on Planning Commission.

New Business

  1. Adam Kinney requested a lot split of his property on Tucks Chapel Road. Gary Brashears was in attendance and plans to purchase split. Motion made to approve lot split at 13230 Tucks Chapel Road by C. Pinkley; seconded by J. Mills. Motion carried.
  2. Luke and Valerie Cox requested a lot split at 285 Oak Street. Brewer had concerns about utility easements being established on survey prior to approval. Motion made by Brewer to approve lot split with stipulation of final survey to include designated utility easement of 10' on each property line following split. {draft of proposed easement drawn in- pending revised copies to be submitted by Cox)
  3. Property owners at 647 Tucks Chapel Road (Felipe and Yolanda Ruiz; Ascension Morales) have been sent a certified letter by Town Attorney. Current fine of $500 pending.


  1. Next Planning Commission meeting scheduled for October 16, 2018.
  2. Board of Zoning Adjustment scheduled to meet October 16, 2018.

Motion was made to adjourn at 7:07 by Pinkley. Seconded by Mills. Motion carried.
